My name is Hayley Sanderson and after practising yoga for 8 years I became a children's instructor back in May 2014 with Yoga Bananas and in January 2015 I completed Cosmic Kids training. I am a mother of 2 and knew that is was something lacking in the area. My children use yoga poses regularly to help with niggles such as headaches, tummy aches and when they struggle to get to sleep so I know yoga can bring benefits.
In this modern non stop world our children have little time to relax and when they do they struggle with slowing down, at the end of each yoga lesson after the fun and games we relax for a few minutes and overtime they learn how to relax!
The various poses & stretches help maintain a child's natural flexibility which can be lost through sitting at desks & computers.
Yoga improves posture by strengthening the back & abdominal muscles.
I could go on but overall Yoga improves self confidence & promotes a positive body image.
I run clubs within schools & preschools and also have my own classes in Benenden for KIDS & Kilndown for TOTS Kent. Booking is recommended, mats are provided.

Namaste Kids yoga is fab for my daughter, Frances. I really like the nice chill out period Namaste Kids provides in a hectic week, giving Frances the opportunity for exercise which isn't frantic. Frances comes home and tells me how much she has enjoyed the class and shows me the exercises she has learnt. She really likes Hayley, the yoga teacher and the stories she tells to teach yoga movements to. Hayley is a mum to two girls herself. She is really bubbly nice, easy going and makes the classes fun!
My daughter's favourite pastime is relaxing, for her Namaste Kids yoga is like a dream come true! I really like the fact that children are encouraged to be calm. The yoga teacher, Hayley is brilliant. She has taught Abigail some wonderful techniques for night time when she had some problems sleeping. Abigail has got such a lot from doing Namaste Kids. I wasn't really sure what to expect from children's yoga, but I have been so pleasantly surprised at how good it has been!
Both my children love going to yoga Hayley really interacts with the children. I would highly recommend her classes. My children are more relaxed happy children and often use the techniques at home.
A fun active class that will keep your children entertained.
My daughter loves Namaste Kids and is always talking about the stories and moves they have done that week. I have found the breathing techniques great when she's having a meltdown and seems to help calm her. Also the being calm and listening to instructions is great learning ready for school. I cannot recommend the yoga tots classes enough. Thank you Hayley!

Trained with Yoga Bananas in May 2014 and registered with the Yoga Alliance UK. I attended a first aid course back in Nov 2013.
I am a mother of 2 children. Before children & yoga I worked in travel as a manager of a London independent travel company which I gave up when I had my first child. I have been keeping myself busy looking after them, being treasurer of the local pre-school for four years and helping on the PTA now they are bigger I have time to do something I enjoy.
Clara goes to weekly term-time classes which are based around yoga poses, stretching and relaxing but with a focus on fun too. She absolutely loves it and all the children get on really well, it's also an inclusive class that caters for a wide age range. The poses have animal names and her favourite part is the relaxation where children lie in a circle on their mats with lavender bags on their eyes. It's not a serious yoga class but a great 'stealth' introduction to the philosophy of yoga. Clara is a normal 5 year old who can't sit still but she really looks forward to her class with Hayley each week!
