Activ8 Toddlers Clubs for walking toddlers from 18 months to 3 years
Classes start with warm up action songs, repeated throughout the half term so children become familiar with them. We then go on an 'adventure' together, based around the half term theme. This adventure incorporates a variety of movement skills and balances and introduces the key skill for that week.
Next there is specific skill teaching (each week focuses on a new skill), after which children can explore stimulating equipment with their parents, designed to develop and practise the focus skill. Sessions end with parachute games and cool down action songs, followed by a drink and small snack.
The toddler sessions cover the 3 main areas of the Early Learning Goals:-
Preschool for children aged 3-5 years

Activ8 Kids Clubs for children between 5-8 years old
These sessions are aimed at KS1 pupils in their first years at school. The activities will complement the PE curriculum they will be following at school and focus on 'multi skills'. There will be an annual multi skills festival which pupils will have the opportunity to enter in the summer.
Activ8 Sports Clubs for children aged 8-12 years old
We have sports coaching, activities and clubs specifically designed for this age group
These sessions are aimed at children in KS2. It takes the children on from the earlier multi skills activities and covers sports specific skills. The sessions allow the children to explore different sports, developing the basic skills and leaning games skills such as team work, tactics and officiating.
These sessions are ideal for children who want to take part in sport but have not decided on a specific sport and would like to experience a range of sports.
Activ8 can also offer specific sports clubs utilising the skills of local trained coaches.

My son who is 4 has been going to Activ8 since September and always looks forward to going. As a parent what I like about Activ8 is that it fundamentally improves and helps to develop his physical skills and coordination such as balancing, hopping, jumping and throwing. It is also great for his social skills such as turn taking and mixing with other children. This has been great as my son is quite shy, but he has become a lot more confident in these classes. There is great structure to the class with warm up activities and activity stations where they have the freedom to explore equipment and activities.
We go to the Activ8 preschool class on a Thursday afternoon at Angmering and Harvey loves it. The environment is perfect - plenty of space for the children to do each of the activities. Debbie plans this carefully each week, and you can see that she's taken the children's needs into account by the small changes she makes each week. It's been great for Harvey as he starts school in September and the classes have built upon the social and physical skills he will need for this eg: learning to listen and follow direction. Debbie awards the children certificates if they're doing well at particular skills and this is great for their confidence. Harvey received one for his ball skills and he now sets up bowling at home! The activities Harvey has particularly enjoyed have been the parachute games and he has also really enjoyed the warm up and cool down sections which are music tracks the children follow movements to. These are repeated each week and have therefore given the children a chance to learn the movements confidently.
I am so pleased I chose Activ8, the team kept the children entertained from start to finish. Their caring way also encouraged the shy children to join in. I would 100% recommend!!!
We go to Activ8 in Lancing. The instructors Emma and Debbie are brilliant with the children. My daughter has advanced so much with her physical skills. I am very pleased with her development and she has learnt more than I would think to teach her. The cost is ideal and I love the fact you don't have to block book all the time, only if its convenient to you.
