Phonics fun is the ultimate fun activity class. It's an innovative and interactive class which brings to life the phonic sounds by playing games, singing songs, bouncing and getting messy, the list goes on....Each session will introduce the children to a new sound and letter, and all of the games and activities will be focused on that one sound and letter so that it is constantly reinforced, making it easier for children to learn whilst having fun. All our classes aim to be fully accessible; if your child has an additional learning need, which you feel may require further support, please contact us to discuss ways we can make adjustments to best meet their needs.
Pre-School Party
A weekly pre-school activity class designed to teach children their letters and sounds through play. Phonics Fun classes are perfect for 3 to 5 year olds, although we do accept younger children if parents feel they would be ready to join sooner. If you are unsure whether Phonics Fun classes would be appropriate for your child, please call us to discuss.
A variety of interactive and fun games have been developed especially for preschoolers to teach the phonic sounds and letters needed to read. Using memorable actions and phrases, supported by engaging illustrations, and fun games, Phonics Fun ensure that their classes appeal to all types of learners - even the most reluctant!
Holiday Hullabaloo
Phonics Fun offers more intensive holiday courses, designed for children aged 3- 6 years to have fun and learn sounds stress free, whilst having fun with friends. We have a good adult to child ratio to enable parents to choose whether they would like to stay and play or have some well deserved ‘me-time’.
Our holiday classes are action packed with lots of fun games, arts and craft activities and of course learning! Each half day will cover three sounds so it is a perfect way to introduce a basic phonological awareness or strengthen an existing awareness of phonics, but most importantly have fun! Our summer holiday classes will take place in Langton Green Village Hall - please see our website for more details.
We hold several classes throughout the Kent Area. Monday 2pm - Bromley Tuesday 2pm - Kings Hill Wednesday 10.30am - Tunbridge Wells Thursday 1.30pm - Sevenoaks Friday 1.45pm - Kings Hill

We'd started practising phonics at home and the Phonics Fun classes reinforce that learning in a fun, engaging way. The girls really enjoy the classes, and take on board the learning. It's also helpful with their social skills ie: learning to sit and listen and take turns. The graphics are good and so is the quality of the teaching materials. For example, when we learnt T for tiger they brought in a wonderful tiger shaped tent, and we used paint boards to make footprints when we did 'F' last week. The classes are really imaginative and good value.
My grand-daughter Erin (3) attends classes at Phonics Fun every week and she absolutely loves it there. Sarah & Ann-Marie, the teachers, are so enthusiastic and knowledgeable that they get all the children really engaged and involved in all the phonics activities. Erin enjoys the physical games the most and is making brilliant progress with her phonics learning. As a teacher myself, I think that Phonics Fun is fantastic and I thoroughly recommend it.

Her teaching experience is varied. Previously she has taught English to Thai children in Bangkok, and to Italian children in the UK, but for the last six years has been teaching part-time in Kent, whilst bringing up her two children.
Hello! My name is Phonics the Sound Hound. My friends and I are going to help you learn your phonic sounds. We don’t want you to think this is a stuffy place where you sit down and be quiet, oh no! The magical world of Phonics Fun is about playing games and having Phonic Fun! It’s like going to a party every week! We’ll play games based on the phonic sounds, using all your senses, you won’t even knowing you are learning
I'm really pleased that we started Phonics Classes. I took Zak when he was 3 1/2 and by December he could join up and blend 3 letter words, and now 4 letters. They do some direct teaching at the beginning of the class when they introduce the children to the letter and then fun and games using the letter to reinforce the learning. The children remain engaged for the whole 40 minutes. They also revise letters that they've previously learnt so that they're not forgotten. It's great as at the end they give a summary of the class and words and sounds to practice at home. Previously they gave out little boards with magnetic letter so we could make up words. As parents are able to stay in the class, they can get guidance of how to teach at home and Ann Marie and Sarah are always happy to give us extra tips. The use of the innovative games help as well. They also email us worksheets so we can print these out and use at home. I hope the class sizes remain limited - it would be great if they could develop some online games or an Ipad app as the kids would love these. I think it will be a real advantage before Zak starts school and I certainly don't think he'd be at the stage he is now without these classes.
