Harry is one of the lucky children to be sponsored in 2015. He'll be taking Performing Arts classes with Afonso School of Performing Arts in Berkhamstead and you can see how much he progresses over the year.

Harry has been attending his classes every week. He has learnt two routines which he performed at the dance schools Christmas Party. He loved all the moves and the music and really enjoyed performing them. Harry seems at ease with all the boys and girls in his class and is showing his personality and making friends.
Harry had his tap and musical theatre exams in December and had to work extremely hard for these. He also peformed at the dance schools Christmas party in quite a few routines so there was a lot to remember. Over the last period he's really learnt that with practise comes great reward! Harry is really enjoying his classes and is keen to learn more dance moves to give him more ideas for when he does 'freestyle'.

Harry is eager to start all his classes again following the summer holiday break. He loved all of his classes last term especially as they were gearing up to the end of the summer term show with lots of fun routines to learn. Harry is now at ease with the children in his classes which is adding to his enjoyment. Street dance offers him the opportunity to freestyle which is great for his confidence.
Harry took part in the end of year show where he performed in the ballet, tap, street dance and musical theatre sections. His favorite was the street dance and tap. He loved every minute of the show and was thrilled to win an award for special achievement. Harry has learned about being a part of a show and the discipline that is needed in advance of it with practising all of the routines. Also the focus required on the day with all the costume changes, especially the really quick ones! Harry is joining the competition team where he will gain lots of performance experience. He will also be working hard towards his first dance exams.

Harry has been attending classes every Thursday. He has enjoyed learning a routine to his favourite tune, Uptown Funk, learning lots of new steps and having lots of fun! Harry is starting to make friends with the other children in the class and is enjoying the fact that they have a mutual love of music and dancing. He has learnt how to put his favourite steps together to make his own freestyle routine.
