Children learn in many different ways and from everything they do.

Learning is not just in class at school, activity clubs or from one-to-one tutoring, it is also from playing with friends, kicking around a football in the garden and from every interaction with others.

The more activities a child tries, the more experience and knowledge he or she will gain and the more willing he or she may be to take on new challenges.

The lessons your child learns, whether as a beginner drum player or a toddler ballet dancer, will stay with them into adulthood: not just drum and ballet moves but also rhythm, non-verbal expression and working together in a team (the band or dance group).

The articles on learning here at KalliKids provide you with a little bit of theory around how kids learn and a few ideas to help you support your own child from a baby right through to a teenager.
