We teach all instruments, one-to-one and paired; covering classical, contemporary and urban genres, including voice and music technology. We cater for all ages and circumstances, including disabled, special needs and gifted & talented. SAM Studios in Shoreham-by-Sea is also the headquarters of SAM, open 7 days-a-week. It boasts multiple soundproof tuition rooms and a recording and workshop live room with disabled access. The rooms are equipped with state of the art audio equipment, teaching facilities, laptops and instruments.
Kids Parties:
Give your child a birthday to remember with a SAM Kids party! Aimed at 5-15 year olds, the party can be catered to any occasion, from a birthday to a general fun day out. This 2 hour party includes fun percussion workshops, learning songs on a variety of instruments such as guitar, drums, piano and vocals; great party food and drink, recording a CD in our professional recording studio, practicing as a band and performing on stage to parents and friends in our decorated live room!
No musical knowledge is needed and we are experienced in hosting parties for the disabled and those with special needs. The parties are held at the Sussex Academy of Music in Shoreham-by-Sea, which has free parking and is open 7 days a week. SAM is easy to access by car, train and bus.

SAM opened it's doors to the public on Saturday for what was the best open day to date. With over 50 performances within 4 hours, there was a fantastic sense of achievement from the students and pride from the friends and families that attended.

Rob, Ed and Ben are excellent music teachers. Freddie and Ollie always leave their classes with big smiles on their faces having accomplished something different every week. Daniella welcomes us all enthusiastically every week and patiently answers questions from the children or helps me rearrange lessons to accommodate holidays etc. Everyone we have met in the Academy is friendly, they have created a fantastic way for children to learn music in a fun and relaxed environment.

One of the best things about Sussex Academy of Music (SAM) is the Tutors. They are really young, enthusiastic people who are great at what they do and speak to the children in a mature way, which my kids really respond to. They've built up a really good relationship with Freya and Sam. The kids genuinely love their lessons, it's the one thing I don't have to nag them to to attend each week! I get lots of feedback on their progress, and can log on to their page at any time, and see how they're getting on, if they need to practice anything, and also keep up to date with payments etc.
