I am a very positive and enthusiastic cello teacher. I love teaching all ages and morning lesson times are available for those who don't have to go to school! I believe that music is life enhancing and lessons should be the same. I hope my pupils will find that they can join in all sorts of musical activities because of all they learn at their cello lessons . I want them to feel that they can't wait to get the cello out at home to try out their new skills and play lovely pieces.

I am based in Haywards Heath and children come for lessons from Lindfield, Bolney, Ardingly and Burgess Hill.

Cello lessonsPricing & Other Information
Most children thrive on weekly 30 minute lessons.
However, 20 minutes may be enough for the very youngest "Cellobabies" to begin with.
I am happy to provide 45 minute or 1 hour lessons for more advanced or adult pupils.

Sebastian has been really enthusiastic about learning the Cello with Judith, she is very patient and has a very calming effect on him. Sebastian really looks forward to his lessons and concentrates well in her class. Learning the Cello has even encouraged him to join the school orchestra. Judith is a really lovely lady and Sebastian really likes her and enjoys learning from her, which ultimately is the most important thing.

Phillippa has been having weekly cello lessons with Judith for almost two years and the standard of teaching is excellent, and follows a strict syllabus. Judith is well organised and encouraging, providing appropriate
feedback. She not only has an air of authority but also calmness. Phillipa is a very talented cellist and I think they both enjoy their lessons. Judith has been perfect as a teacher, which is something that I don't say lightly!

Nersli started playing the cello with Judith with 18 months playing experience, and has made rapid progress since coming under her care. Judith is the most gentle, patient lady and Nersli loves going to her lessons and says that they just seem to fly by. As mentioned by another reviewer, she comes on a calm and inspired. We would both thoroughly and unreservedly recommend Judith.

Judith teaches both my mother and my 16 year old daughter Elizabeth. Judith is very clear and calm in her instructions and has really encouraged Elizabeth who is currently taking her grade 4 exam. Whilst Judith encourages and supports progress through the exam grades, the choice to undertake exams remains with the pupil.
